These are a ladder pattern size chain which means that they go straight across the tire. They're gonna be helpful when you're starting and stopping but they're gonna be a little bit bumpier on the ride. You're definitely gonna feel that a little bit more. more

They are a diamond pattern tire chain which gives you a lot more coverage on the tire and they're helpful for turns. Additionally, the square links are therefore biting into the snow and ice. So rather than a traditional bulky chain these are going to be comprised of a series of cables and these cross sections have these rollers over them. That's gonna be a lot more low profile than a typical chain which means it is gonna be a smoother ride but not as aggressive in those harsher conditions. So this is good for light snow getting us that extra traction that we need but deep snow and ice, you're gonna probably want to go with one of those more traditional chains that has a more aggressive shape and bite to it. more

Now this cable-style of chain is a lot less aggressive than a typical chain style. These are gonna be pretty low-profile and light duty, so any on-road use it's gonna be great for, sort of light snow, maybe not necessarily ice, because they're not gonna have that bite and that dig-in, like something like chain might. But they're gonna be good for some relatively normal driving just to give you some extra traction. The cables are covered with the spring rollers here to help give 'em a little bit more height, and keep everything moving smooth, while still giving you that nice low-profile appearance. more

Hi, everyone, Aiden, here with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Titan Chain ladder pattern snow tire chains here on our 2022 Ram 1500 classic. Now, like I said these are gonna be a ladder pattern style chain which means these cross sections of chain move perpendicularly across the tire, making it really good for those starts and stops in those harsh weather conditions. The twisted link shape here isn't going to be as aggressive as something like a square link or a VBar style but it is still gonna give good traction because of that link size in the deep snow and pretty okay traction with ice. But this is gonna be great for onroad use that isn't too bumpy or jarring. We get a pretty good fit on the tire here but it doesn't come with cams or any other tightening mechanism besides the lever arm at the bottom here, I recommend picking up a pair of rubber adjusters here to make sure we get a good strong fit on the tire and we have tension that's constantly being applied to ensure safe travel. more

These are the most versatile snow tire chains you can put on your vehicle. One, just because they're not gonna be so big to where you're gonna feel them whenever you're driving. Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at the Titan Alloy Snow Tire Chains on the 2021 Ram 2500. These are your diamond pattern style chains, and they are going to give you a much smoother ride compared to your ladder style chains. The ladder style are gonna give you a more effective start and stop, but the diamond style chains are gonna give you just better traction all around since you have more coverage on the tire with the chains, and the square links on this specific model is going to give you better traction as well. These chains are made out of a nickel manganese alloy steel construction, so they are gonna be very durable, last a long time, as well as being corrosion and rust resistant. Main things that I like about this chain is that they are simple to install, I don't have to crawl on my hands and knees and reach under the tire, I can just do it all right here. So when you're using these, the weather is usually bad, and so, having a simple, easy install makes this less of a pain. more

Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Titan Snow Tire Chains on the 2021 Ram 2500. These are your lighter style tire chains, and while they're not gonna be as smooth as your diamond pattern style, these are gonna give you a lot more effective starts and stops, especially the V-bars on the links themselves are just gonna cut through that deep snow and thick ice, giving you that extra traction that you need. The built in cam tighteners make it very quick and simple to secure the chains onto your vehicle. And they are made out of a low-carbon steel, so they are very strong and durable. You definitely wanna make sure that you're not making pavement or you're not making contact on the pavement with these chains as they are gonna wear down on the V-bars, so these are great, if you live in an area where there is a lot of fixed snow and ice. To install our chains, we are gonna lay them out flat, making sure there are no kinks in our links and notice since these are the V-bars, we want them sticking up and not on the inside of our tire, as well as these hooks right here, we want them on the outside of our tire as well. more

Hey there Ram owners. This is a ladder pattern style chain and you can tell just because we just had these cross chains going over our wheels here, and we are going to have a low carbon steel construction. So they're going to be extra strong. And also these are the most aggressive chains. You can pretty much get the V-Bar styles are extremely aggressive. more

Pewag 7mm LT Studded Truck Chains Review and Installation - 2020 Ram 1500- Video
Adam: What's going on everybody, Adam here with etrailer/ today we're going to be taking a look at the Pewag 7mm LT Studded Truck Chains with cam tensioners on our 2020 Ram 1500. So if you guys are going to do some off-roading and you guys need a really, really aggressive chain, this is going to be the chain that you guys want, just because this is going to be the most aggressive chain that we offer here. Pewag did a really good job of getting these massive, massive studs on the end of our twist links here. So as you guys can see, we have some huge duds on the end of our twist links here. This isn't going to be great for your ride quality, but, like I said, off-road use only, these are going to get you out of almost any situation you're in.This is going to be the most aggressive chain that we offer here, and they are going to wear away relatively evenly in regards to these studs here. Even if there isn't snow on the ground, especially when that ground is still just frozen and you guys are in the woods somewhere just kind of logging around, these are definitely going to be able to dig into that frozen dirt and get you free for whatever situation you guys may be in.These are going to protect your rims too. more

Pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains Review - 2020 Ram 1500- Video
Adam: Hi, everybody, Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the pewag all square snow tire chains on our 2020 Ram 1500. These are going to be a ladder pattern style chain. So, these are going to be a little bit less easy on you when you're driving compared to some of those spring roller style cable chains, just because those don't have near as much height to your tire than these do, but I definitely think we're going to get a lot more benefits to it just because we're going to get a lot more traction than the roller style. Also, we are going to just get all in all better traction, starting, stopping, turning, everything like that. As you guys can see, we do have a square link and we are going to have about 5.6 millimeters of size.That is going to be a little less aggressive than the seven millimeter size pewag chains you guys may be looking at, but these are just going to give a little bit nicer ride than those seven millimeter ones. more

So these are going to be a ladder pattern style chain. So they are going to be a little bit rougher of a ride than some of those other type of chains that have diamond patterns that come across here just because we're going to have a little bit more rubber showing on our tire. So you might be able to feel that whenever we're going down the road. But when it comes to a ladder pattern style chain, these are going to be the lesser aggressive types compared to the V-Bar style or even those big square links, just because we aren't going to really add a whole lot of height to our tire. more

Titan Chain Cable Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2020 Ram 1500- Video
Adam: What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Titan Chain cable snow tire chains on our 2020 Ram 1500. These chains are going to be cable chains forming a ladder pattern, so we are going to have a somewhat consistent amount of chains going around our whole entire tire. These are going to be a little bit less aggressive than some of your link style chains, and a lot more less aggressive than those V-bar style. As you can see, we do have some nice rollers on here, and these are going to be less aggressive, but it's going to give you a lot smoother ride. So for the not as intense situations that you guys will be in, lighter snow, something like that, these are going to be great for your starting, stopping and turns, but also it's going to give you a nice and smooth ride.Comparing them to the V-bar style, these are going to wear down a little bit slower and more evenly, just because they are universally shaped throughout the whole entire chain here. more
